On September 11th, 2001 the lives of Americans were changed forever. To commemorate the attacks of September 11th, The Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation is calling on the entire Delaware Valley to honor the memories of those who were lost, and to continue to strengthen our resolve as a community to foster the most basic ideals of freedom and equality.
Please join The Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation for "The Day Philly Remembers". On Sunday, September 8th we will host a "Family Friendly Walk and 5K Run" at the Philadelphia Zoo. Former Philadelphia Eagle Vince Papale will be leading the Walk & 5K. For more information about Vince and his work, visit www.vincepapale.com.
Registration opens at 7:30 AM, Pre-Walk & 5K Run Festivities will begin at 8:00 AM, and the Walk & 5K Run will start at 9 AM.
A portion of the proceeds from the "The Day Philly Remembers" will be going to the families of Firefighter Sean Hogan and R.J. Esbensen, Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection Division.
We are pleased to report that our September 11th Tribute Reception will take place at Play2 at Chickie's and Pete's in South Philadelphia (1526 packer Avenue). This party will serve as a thank you party for our top fundraising teams and sponsors for "The Day Philly Remembers" Walk and 5K Run. We will have many guests from the Philadelphia Sports Community on hand to meet and greet our guests at this event which will take place from 7 PM - 10 PM.

- $2,000 or more Raised: (10) Reception tickets plus (2) Eagles Tickets to a 2013 Regular Season game
- Top Overall Fundraising Family: Will be awarded with (10) Club Box tickets and Limo Transportation to a 2013 Home Regular Season Flyers home game at the Wells Fargo Center. Dinner for (10) at Play 2 at Chickie's and Pete's also included.
